Are you trying to figure out how to use the Minecraft Blast Furnace This block-based forge allows you to smelt all kinds of junk. However, unlike the regular furnace, it's twice faster and lets you break down items and/ore into new materials for crafting. It can't smelt iron, gold, and chainmail. You'll need to roast your chickens somewhere else.
If you mine a lot or need to regularly break down materials into their constituent parts, blast furnaces are a great tool. If you have spare materials, why not create a block that can do the job faster than your regular furnace?
This Minecraft Blast Furnace guide will show you how to build it and how to use it to melt those extra materials.
The Blast Furnace can be made relatively easily if you have all the ingredients. Even then, it's not difficult to obtain them. You will need one Furnace and five Iron Ingots.
You can make a standard Furnace with eight pieces of Cobblestone. This is quite common. If you are having trouble finding the right piece, you can dig down a bit and find it soon enough.
Cobblestone must be cooked twice to obtain Smooth Stone. It will turn to Stone the first time, and then to Smooth Stone again the second time.
Iron Ingots are the most difficult ingredient. How lucky you are with the terrain and world around you will determine how difficult it is to obtain iron ore. Iron Ore can be found in shallow caves. In some cases, however, you might need to mine further to find it. Once you have found the ore, it is possible to smelt it into Iron Ingots. If you are lucky enough to find treasure chests, you may also be able to make one by combining nine Iron Nuggets. However, this is more work than it's worth.
The process of using a Blast Furnace works in the same way as a regular Furnace. Simply add fuel to the bottom-left section and then follow it up with the smeltable object in the top-left. Blast Furnaces cannot smelt anything. However, they can do it at twice as fast, but it also uses twice as much fuel. But is it possible to put a price tag on the time you'll be able to save?
The Blast Furnace can be used to smelt ore blocks into ingots. However, they can also be used to melt weapons, tools and armour. All other items must go through a normal Furnace.
